You’ve probably heard of Hasan Semay, aka Big Has. The acclaimed no-nonsense chef, the man behind YouTube series Sunday Sessions, and most importantly, a North London legend.

We heard a while back that Big Has’ drink of choice is a Negroni, with the Black Lines rendition a firm favourite. What better way to bring our two worlds together: his very own bottle to celebrate the launch of his first book, HOME. A limited edition serve capturing Has in his element, apron adorned with Denzel by his side.

We wanted to honour the true idea of community and supporting your local by producing this gift for Hasan to celebrate his incredible achievement. To reciprocate the favour, Has ventured down to our HQ, to learn about the Black Lines Negroni and bottle his very own version of it.

Rufus Shakespeare is the artist behind this Black Lines illustration. It’s the first time we've worked with Rufus, another fellow North Londoner. We loved the pace and energy of his work and knew he was the ideal artist to capture the essence of a man like Big Has.

To add to the fun, we also had the Black Lines Negroni flowing at his book launch. Titled HOME, it’s a book making incredible restaurant-quality food possible for everyone. “Food is more than just filling your stomach, it’s about stories, history, togetherness, family, comfort and mostly HOME.” We couldn’t agree more. Sharing food and drink brings people together in a way not much else can.
